# HTX DAO Voting Tool FAQ

HTX Holding Voting (sHTX) FAQs

HTX holding voting is the governance tool for HTX DAO. This tool empowers the community to decide the outcome of key proposals.

Voting weight is determined by the amount of sHTX held by users. The entire process is conducted off-chain to enhance participation efficiency and improve the user experience.

### I. Overview

#### 1. What Is HTX Holding Voting?

HTX holding voting is the governance mechanism of HTX DAO, which allows HTX token holders to vote on community proposals.

• The voting weight is determined by the sHTX holding snapshot;

• The voting process does not require on-chain transactions;

• The voting is gas-free and only requires a wallet signature.

#### 2. What Is sHTX?

sHTX is a certificate received for staking HTX tokens, representing your stake and vote count in HTX DAO.

• The amount of sHTX reflects the user's staked share;

• sHTX also determines the vote count available to the user.

#### 3. How to Participate in Voting?

The basic process is as follows:

1\. Hold HTX tokens;

2\. Stake your HTX tokens to receive sHTX;

3\. Once a vote session is active, visit the HTX DAO Governance page;

4\. Holding sHTX within the specified time allows the system to automatically snapshot and confirm eligible votes;

5\. Connect your wallet and submit your vote within the designated timeframe.

Supported Wallet: TronLink.

#### 4. Is a Minimum Amount of sHTX Required to Vote?

Some proposals may have a minimum threshold; please refer to the specific rules on the proposal page.

#### 5. How to Submit a Governance Proposal?

Proposals must generally meet the following requirements:

• Proposals must align with the core values and principles of HTX DAO;

• Proposals should follow the standard workflow (refer to the HTX DAO Website - About Governance).

• Official voting starts only after a preliminary consensus is reached.

• Proposals are initiated and managed by the HTX DAO Governance Committee.

### II. Voting Process and Timeline

#### 6. What Is the Overall Voting Process?

The HTX DAO voting process follows these key stages: Countdown, Snapshot, and Voting Period:

(1) Proposal Release: The proposal is published, and the countdown to voting begins.

(2) On-Chain Snapshot: A snapshot is taken one hour before voting starts to confirm vote count.

(3) Voting Opens: Once the countdown ends, the voting period officially begins.

(4) Conclusion: Voting continues until the deadline, followed by the tallying of results.

#### 7. How Is Voting Weight Calculated Before a Session Starts?

The vote count is determined by the sHTX holding snapshot, and subsequent sHTX balance changes do not affect your voting weight.

• Snapshot Timing: 1 hour before voting begins;

• Snapshot Data:

\- sHTX amount;

\- the sHTX/HTX exchange ratio;

\- HTX token price (for weight calculation).

#### 8. What Happens if I Stake for sHTX After Voting Starts?

• Staking Before the Snapshot: Your holdings will be included in the voting weight.

• Staking After the Snapshot: Your holdings will not count toward the current vote.

Note: Complete your HTX token staking at least 1 hour before voting begins.

#### 9. Can I Modify My Vote After Submission?

• Votes cannot be changed once submitted.

• Each wallet address is allowed only one vote per proposal.

### III. Voting Options and Outcome Determination

#### 10. What Are the Voting Options?

Single-Choice: When voting, you can choose one of the following options:

• Agree

• Disagree

• Abstain

Abstentions are recorded for participation history but do not affect the final vote count.

Multiple-Choice: Select multiple options based on the specific choices provided, depending on the proposal and scenario.

#### 11. How Is a Proposal's Outcome Determined?

The passing conditions of a proposal are set by the creator, and usually include the following criteria:

• Minimum approval ratio

• Minimum number of voters

• Minimum total voting weight threshold

If a proposal does not meet any of the preset criteria, it is considered to be rejected.

#### 12. What Scenarios Lead to a Failed Proposal?

• The number of votes in favor does not reach the minimum ratio.

• The minimum number of voters is not met.

• The minimum amount of HTX tokens for voting is not met.

### IV. Voting Weight Calculation Rules

#### 13. What Is Voting Weight and How Is It Calculated?

In HTX DAO governance, vote count is determined by the equivalent value of sHTX held by the user at the time of the snapshot.

Certain proposals (such as listing governance) may implement a Voting Weight Smoothing Mechanism. Under this system, sHTX value is categorized into tiers, each with a specific multiplier. These weighted values are then summed to reach the final vote count. This mechanism is intended to limit the impact of "whales" and promote a more balanced, consensus-driven outcome for the community.

#### 14. How Does the Voting Weight Smoothing Mechanism Work?

(1) The total USDT equivalent value of sHTX at the time of the snapshot is used for the calculation.

(2) The total value is divided into different valuation brackets.

(3) The amounts within each bracket are multiplied by their respective weighting coefficients.

(4) The weighted values from all brackets are summed to determine the final vote count.

Value Brackets and Weighting Coefficients

| sHTX Value (USDT) | Weighting Coefficient |
| --------------------- | --------------------- |
| ＜ 1,000               | 1.00                  |
| 1,000 - 10,000        | 0.95                  |
| 10,000 - 100,000      | 0.60                  |
| 100,000 - 500,000     | 0.18                  |
| 500,000 - 1,000,000   | 0.10                  |
| 1,000,000 - 2,000,000 | 0.08                  |
| ＞ 2,000,000           | 0.07                  |

Voting Weight Calculation Example

If a user holds sHTX with a total value of 11,000 USDT at the time of the snapshot, the calculation is as follows:

• Tier 1 (< 1,000 USDT):

\- 1,000 × 1.00 = 1,000

• Tier 2 (1,000 – 10,000 USDT):

\- 9,000 × 0.95 = 8,550

• Tier 3 (10,000 – 100,000 USDT)

\- 1,000 × 0.60 = 600

Final Vote Count:

Actual Vote Count =（ 1,000 + 8,550 + 600 ） / sHTX Price

sHTX Price = (sHTX/HTX Exchange Rate at the time of the snapshot) (a) × (HTX Market Price in USDT at the time of the snapshot) (b).

Note: The above example is for illustrative purposes only, meant to explain the voting weight logic. Actual results are subject to the system's final calculation.

• Once the deadline is reached, the system automatically calculates the final results.

• Results will be displayed on the Governance platform and permanently archived.

• Execution will proceed according to the established DAO procedural framework.
